Actor and director Brad Pitt’s mother, actress Jolie Pitt, is currently shooting a new movie as a director. And while she’s reportedly doing well with the directing credit, her two sons are providing some much needed help on set.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Maddox, 12, and Pax, 10, were both cast in the movie alongside their mother and father. Played by Maddox and David Oyelowo respectively, the siblings will reportedly provide comic relief in an otherwise serious movie about their mother’s battle with addiction.
While it’s unusual for children to appear in their parent’s films (especially when they’re so young), Maddox and Pax are both extremely talented actors and it sounds like they’re having a lot of fun filming together. We can’t wait to see what else they do in the industry!

On Monday, Variety announced that both Angelina Jolie and her sons, Pax and Knox, are teaming up on a new film. Jolie has directed and written the script for the untitled project, which is set in Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge era.
The film will star her eldest son Pax, who will also star as a teenager, while Knox will play his brother. Jolie’s husband Brad Pitt will also appear in the film as a civilian.
Variety reports that the project is still in early pre-production stages and no release date has been announced yet.
